Be a star reporter

By Tom Wheatley, EDITOR, DUNDALK, MD., CHAPTER, THE CHARIVARI

Here is your chance to be part of an award-winning team. Your own Dundalk Charivari, an internationally acclaimed publication, is seeking people to accept reporter positions in the following areas:

  1. Member biography writer
  2. Heartspring happenings
  3. SingAmerica, SingCanada program
  4. Young Men In Harmony program
  5. History of songs and singers
  6. Quartets of bygone days
  7. History of the Dundalk Chapter
  8. Current event reporting (several needed)
  9. Coming events information (several needed)
  10. Singing and music craft items
  11. Summary of board meetings
  12. Summary of music committee meetings
  13. Summary of planning committee activities
  14. Birthday and anniversary publication
  15. Obituary reporter (hopefully not often)
  16. Convention activities reports
  17. Show plans and needs
  18. Chapter human interest items
  19. News of the quartets
  20. Barberpole Cat promotion
  21. Quartet development ideas
  22. Sick and shut-in status

Please see Charivari Editor Tom Wheatley for information on these thrilling opportunities. Not everything has to be in every issue, but most of them should appear quite regularly. Try as I may, it is not practical for me to be able to cover all these areas and also do the editor's job.

Your writing skills need not be rated at the Shakespeare or Steinbeck level. What is needed is help in covering the various areas of importance to the chapter. If you are a chairman, make sure that you have a reporter to cover your area, even if it has to be you.

Don't just read the Charivari, participate in making it happen!
