The Elderly Brothers!

| Ray Carson | | Baritone |
| Barry Linthicum | | Bass |
| Alan Katz (sitting) | | Lead |
| Chuck Forbes | | Tenor |
To book them ... call Barry at (410) 871-0077.
The foursome’s average age is 77 years and they mostly are appreciated for the fact that they still can make it onto the
stage. While two members call Carroll County their home chapter, all four of them have been members of other quartets.
Baritone Ray Carson adds some class to the group. A member of the Patapsco Valley, MD Chapter, he’s been singing
since he was a teen. He began singing with his uncles in bars in South Baltimore, which was the high point in his life. It
also explains why he’s a baritone.
Bass Barry Linthicum organized the quartet a few years ago. He is the Carroll County Chapter’s top ad salesman for
our annual shows. He formerly was a member of the Montgomery County, MD Chapter.
Lead Alan Katz, like Ray, is a member of the Patapsco Valley, MD Chapter. He is the newest … and youngest member
of the quartet. He was invited by the others to join the quartet due to his fine singing voice. That demonstrates that with
age comes hearing problems. Alan simply hopes to remember more than half of the words.
Tenor Chuck Forbes left the Patapsco Valley, MD Chapter to come to Carroll County. Now officially in his 80s, his wife
doesn’t want him driving that far at night – she’s seen him drive. He’s been a member of the Society for four decades
and, in addition to Patapsco Valley, he’s been a member of the Frederick, MD Chapter, too.
