Hatten, of Westminster, is Barbershopper of the Year

The Old Line Statesmen Barbershop Chorus of Carroll County recently awarded a Barbershopper of the Year award to Jim Hatten, of Westminster.

Each year the chorus recognizes a member of the chorus for his service and accomplishments. The 2010 award was presented at the group's Christmas and installation of officers banquet in December, held at VFW Post 467, in Westminster.

The Old Line Statesmen Chorus was the 2009 and 2010 Western Division Plateau A Champions for the Mid-Atlantic District of the Barbershop Harmony Society. Meetings are held most Monday evenings in Krug Chapel at Carroll Lutheran Village. Call 410-795-5050 or go to www.oldlinestatesmen.org.
