Do You Enjoy Singing?

Mighty River Harmony is looking for more men who enjoy singing.

• Our medal-winning Waikato men’s barbershop chorus wants to build membership from the current 60 to around 100, ready for the Pan Pacific barbershop singers’ convention in Brisbane in September 2011.

• The chorus is holding Open Nights on Tuesday 15th and 22nd February, and invites men who would like to try singing with the Chorus to join in the vocal warm-ups and experience the awesome pleasure of producing four-part harmony.

• You don’t need to be a great singer – just be able to hold a tune.

• The ability to read music isn’t essential as training CDs are available to help with learning songs.

• Lack of experience is not a problem either – for new recruits the chorus is running a free six-week course on the basics of harmony singing, starting on 1st March 2011.

• The Open Nights are being held at the McMeekan Centre, Ruakura Campus, starting at 7.30pm.
