The RANDOM CHOICE quartet was formed and registered with the Society in 1993. Since then the quartet has been a regular performer at chapter events and shows and for many organizations and guest appearances on other chapter shows. During this time the quartet has had 2 basses, 3 leads, 1 baritone and 5 tenors. The current members are Bill Amos, Tenor; Gordon Knapp, Lead; Jay Garber, Bass; and Tom Koch, Baritone. The MELODAIRES were formed in early 2004. They have appeared on the Chapter show and have performed at many local social engagements. The members have a combined barbershop experience of 42 years. The group (reading from left to right) includes Gary Corpora, Tenor; Frank Pagliarulo, Lead; Ralph Rock, Bass; Bob Parker, Baritone. Bob replaced Joe DeFilippo, the original baritone. Going into its third year of existence is the "SONGMEN 4" Barbershop Quartet of the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter. The Quartet consists of: Skip Gillis (Tenor); Jim McCarthy (Lead); Bill McVeigh (Bass) and Ken Ernst (Bari).
The quartet has had 15 performances since their formation. Ernst has been singing with the Chorus for 13-years. Gillis has 6 years while McCarthy has 12 and McVeigh has been singing with the Chorus for 28 years. Their contact man is: Jim McCarthy

Since our inception in 1941 the Greater Pittsburgh Chapter has had two quartets take 1st place in International Competition. In 1948, the PITTSBURGHERS
