"Chilly Billy"
Bill Cardille has been with WPXI-TV, the NBC affiliate since they went on the air in 1957. He became a local icon as host of Channel 11's Dance Party, Studio Wrestling, and Chiller Theater shows. Chiller Theater aired for 20 years, causing Bill to be forever known as "Chilly Billy." Mr. Cardille's television career has spanned 40 years. He continues to do some TV work and has been a favorite of Pittsburgher's for years!
Mr. Cardille has been inducted into the Pennsylvania Broadcasters Hall of Fame; was awarded Variety Club's "Man of the Year"; the Heart Association's "Entertainer of the Year"; AFTRA Hall of Fame's "TV Personality of the Year" and Pittsburgh Radio & TV Club's "TV Man of the Year."
Bill Cardille is maybe best known for his 29 year dedication to the Muscular Dystrophy Association as Emcee & Telethon Chairman.
