The Library is site # 8 on the map (on 6th Street between Rose St. and Argentina St.). Georgetown, of course, is about 15 minutes west of Idaho Springs on I-70. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Carpool instructions: Arrive at the COLD SPRING PARK & RIDE (SE corner of 6th Ave and Simms / Union) by 11:45 AM and load into cars driving up, leaving by 12:00 noon. Slip your driver some cash to help with fuel. Last car...please wait until noon to make sure everyone who needs a ride gets one....thanks. Call time is 1:00 PM. We perform at 2:00 PM and 4:30 PM. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Uniform: Yellow / gold golf shirt with embroidered chorus logo, khaki chorus slacks, black shoes. ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ Performance motivation: Some food for thought: we are hiring Metropolis quartet to headline two shows on March 17 for $1200. If they make half the mistakes we made last night, would we be happy with them? Would our audience be happy? We are getting paid $1000 to perform two shows for Georgetown. If you hired our chorus to perform at your daughter's wedding reception and paid $1000, would you be happy if you received the performance we delivered last night? Audiences might not recognize a wrong note here or there, or would forgive such, but they at least expect us to all sing the right words at the same time. But let's get our words AND notes down pat, start each song at 100%, match correct vowels, sing with fluid connectivity, watch the director, and smile. This is a huge opportunity to establish ourselves as local guardians of exquisite harmony (as Bob Klimek used to say)...let's deliver exactly that. I'll do my best to fix my trouble spots...how about you? thanks.
