4 Dandies

Version #1

Jack Frost (tenor), Art Smith (lead), ? (original baritone before Bub Thomas), Chick Madden (bass). Bub Thomas replaced this original baritone (don't know his name, if anyone does, let us know) when the 4 Dandies were on tour in Cleveland, Ohio.

 

 

Version #2

Jack Frost (tenor), Art Smith (lead), Bub Thomas (bari), Chick Madden (bass). Circa 1948, Bub's first performance with the 4 Dandies (exact place not known). When they returned from their tour around the country, they later appeared at the Cocoanut Grove where they debuted the jingle "See The U.S.A. In Your Chevrolet."

Tenor Jerry Fitzell replaced Jack Frost in the 4 Dandies who performed at Club Moderne in Long Beach, California and the Colony Club in Gardena, California in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
