Listen for the sound of harmony in offices, factories, schools and homes throughout the Jackson, MS area. Wherever they appear, they'll draw a crowd and sometimes a few tears.

A local quartet will be delivering Singing Valentines all over the metro Jackson area. They are Brick Street, a quartet based in Clinton but entertains audiences all over the south. A Singing Valentine consists of two songs sung in barbershop harmony, a card, a balloon and an audio tape of the performance.

"We've been doing this for more than 15 years now," says Greg Gibson, lead singer of Brick Street, "and we have seen just about every reaction you can imagine. Some people cry, some laugh, and some want to just go through the floor."

"It's especially fun to deliver a Singing Valentine from a woman to her husband or boyfriend," says Brian Lynch, SPEBSQSA Public Relations Manager. "Last year my quartet went to a factory and caught a guy going off-shift. He was stunned. His co-workers gathered around, and were ready to start razzing him until they saw the tears welling up in his eyes."
